What is Pilates mat?

Pilates is a method that consists in soliciting different muscle groups in a very precise way. This complete physical activity allows you to gently but deeply strengthen the whole body.
With the Pilates Mat we work with the help of gravity and against gravity, mainly with your own body weight. We can focus on a specific muscle or on a group of muscles, depending on the complexity of the movement pattern and changing position during the exercise.
Therefore, a Pilates Mat session consists of several floor exercises using a combination of equipment such as: balls of various sizes for core training; bands and elastics for stretching and resistance exercises, the circle for leg muscles, small weights to intensify the exercises, the foam roller for balance work, and many others.

The classes are payable in cash or by bank transfer.
All bookings must be paid for in advance.
Any request for course cancellation must be made by e-mail to info@bodyfitpilates.be or by phone 04 73 37 84 39, no later than 24 hours before the course start. If this is not the case, the course will be charged.
Packages are not refundable except in case of medical expert advise.

Our Pilates Mat classes are conducted in small groups, in order to offer personalised coaching, adapted to the level of each person. We offer Pilates Mat classes for beginners but also for more advanced levels. Our thick mats are comfortable and allow the body’s weight to be absorbed so that stretching can be done, and the exercises performed without risk of injury.
In addition, you can combine Pilates Mat, Reformer, Combi, Yogalates and Bar classes and focus your sessions on upper body strength or abdominal strengthening.
